In 2017, Oliver embarked on this artistic voyage, starting with humble test shoots from his home with local artists and models. As his passion and talent flourished, so did his opportunities. In 2019, he expanded his horizons, making frequent trips to the bustling fashion hub of New York City. It was here that he collaborated with various artists and photographers, ultimately resulting in his work being published in independent magazines. Notably, 2019 presented Oliver with the opportunity to assist in styling the Sies Marjan fashion show during New York Fashion Week, a significant milestone in his fashion career.
Fast forward to 2020, and Oliver had a career-defining moment when he styled his first celebrity, Dawn Richard. This collaboration not only yielded stunning looks for live performances on prestigious stages like Pitchfork, Good Morning America, and Wendy Williams but also established a meaningful and productive relationship between the two. Their partnership opened doors to extraordinary opportunities, with their work gracing the pages of renowned publications such as Essence Magazine, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and many more.
The year 2021 was another chapter of artistic growth for Oliver Brown. He commenced working with artists such as Sommore and Karen Polenisia. His creative prowess shone as he produced fashion covers that perfectly encapsulated the essence of their brands.
In 2022, Oliver's journey took another remarkable turn as he assumed the role of Fashion Editor for Contrast Magazine. It was a year filled with breathtaking fashion covers featuring artists like Naturi Naughton, Steelo Brim, Tahj Mowry, Dawn Richard, and several other notable talents. He not only showcased his talents in producing captivating editorials but also took on the task of reviewing fashion shows, offering his insights to the readers of Contrast.
2023 marked the next step in Oliver's journey, as he worked with an even more high-end clientele. He styled and produced two extraordinary shoots for the talented Marlo Hampton, which were featured in the esteemed pages of Vogue and L'Officiel. His prowess extended to styling Cynthia Bailey for the E! News Met Gala Special, followed by the production of a Harper's Bazaar cover that placed Cynthia Bailey at its center. A remarkable cover shoot for Kandi Burruss further highlighted Oliver's exceptional styling talents, securing its place in L'Officiel India.
With a string of successes to his name, Oliver Brown reached the pinnacle of his career in 2023 when he established OLVR BRWN STUDIOS. This venture stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication and undeniable talent in the world of fashion and style.
